The State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine informs that yesterday, on January 18, 2012 the commission of highly qualified specialists of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (including 2 Professors), who hadn't been involved in either medical examinations or the health state's check-ups of the former Prime Minister before, arrived to the penal establishment for the independent medical examination and check-up of Y. Tymoshenko being in the detention on the initiative of the administration of Kachanivska penal colony in the Kharkiv region (# 54). The medical commission, in particular, is composed of the experts in the toxicology field.

On September 25 the training “Overseeing the election in the establishments of the criminal-executive system of Ukraine” took place in the House of Trade-Unions. The organizers – the Venetian Commission and the International Society of Human Rights (its Ukrainian department) invited the well-known experts, lawyers, a big group of officers from the State Department for the Enforcement of Sentences headed by the Deputy of the Department Head Natalia Kalashnyk,and reporters to participate.

On September, 20-22, 2007 on the base of the medical rehabilitation center «Tavriya» of the State department of Ukraine for the enforcement of sentences in town Prymorsk of the Zaporozhia district training meeting was conducted.In it participated the deputies of Heads of Department’s territorial organizations for social-educational work, psychological work and activity of criminal-executive inspection, and also psychologists of isolation units.
